Job Description
Software AG Government Solutions is seeking candidates for a Director of Sales Operations to drive efficiency and success of the sales team through process optimization and effective use of sales tools & technologies. This cross-functional role is responsible for internal processes & systems to drive sales productivity at scale including: data integrity & CRM maintenance, administration of all sales technologies, sales training & collateral, liaising with the Marketing and Finance departments and other special projects as they occur.

Primary Job Responsibilities
The Sales Operations Director will manage all sales support functions essential to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the Sales team.
• Work with Executive Management and departments across the organization to optimize sales efficiency and maximize revenue generation.
• Direct Management Responsibility of the following personnel:
o Contracts Specialist
o Sales Operations Analyst
o Maintenance Sales Executive
• Work with an extended team of sales and business management personnel to complete the review and processing of License, Maintenance and Services deals.
• Develop a deep understanding of revenue recognition policies to assist the sales team in maximizing revenues.
• Participate with the CEO and RVP of Sales in conducting weekly forecast reviews and providing executive level dashboard and reports when needed.
• Monitor, analyze and report on sales data.
• Develop new processes and systems to improve productivity and effectiveness.
 
Requirements and Experience
• BS/BA with 10+ years of related work experience
• 5-7+ years of sales operations experience with a rapidly growing software company, preferably with the Federal Government as a customer
• Experience using Salesforce
• Competent in P&L management
• Experience in creating sales compensation plans regarding commissions
• Federal contracts management and GSA audit knowledge
• Solid verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated comfort presenting in executive level meetings
• Experience in rapidly providing sales data upon request
• A highly-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
• An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as Salesforce.
