Software AG Government Solutions is experiencing unprecedented growth and is seeking an experienced sales/business development professional to lead and expand our business with Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs) within our DoD business segment. As a key member of the executive account team and reporting to the DoD Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for establishing a successful Go-To-Market strategy, increasing partner engagement, identifying and shaping opportunities, and driving revenue through the FSIs.
We are looking for individuals that have a track record of achievement, strong understanding of how the FSIs operate, and cultivated relationships with the FSIs.  The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to engage at the senior leadership level down to the technical IT level, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Identify new opportunities to leverage Software AG’s world class product capabilities in developing highly differentiable solutions to solve complex enterprise-class, mission critical challenges.
  • Leverage your existing relationships with the FSIs and create new ones with executive, business development, and technical leadership to promote Software AG solutions within large DoD program opportunities.
  • Develop and execute on a sales plan with the goal of driving net-new sales opportunities and incremental revenue.
  • Maintain knowledge of DoD industry, technology trends, and major programs.
  • Discuss and present our value proposition, product offerings, and competitive differentiation.
  • Coordinate and strategize with DoD Account Executives.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements and Experience
  • 10+ years of sales/business development experience in the technology industry selling through FSIs.
  • A strong track record of increasing aptitude, responsibility and success during the sales career
  • Demonstrated multi-year success in consistently meeting and exceeding quota with the same employer.
  • An action and results-oriented approach which balances a "take charge" attitude with teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to understand customers technical requirements, business needs and challenges while establishing realistic and attainable expectations.
  • Experience in middleware technology and enterprise software applications is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Shows personal commitment, accountability, and strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of market disciplines and success in competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to travel (post COVID) as needed.
  • BA/BS degree with a solid understanding of IT technologies.
